The Vetus flexible engine mount type K25 contains a rubber compound specially designed to enhance damping properties. These are generally suitable for small engines with one or two cylinders, or small generators, up to around 20hp.

To calculate the maximum load for engine mounts, the following formula should be used:
Static Load: (Engine weight in kg ÷ number of supports)
Dynamic Load: (Engine horsepower x reduction of gearbox x 337) ÷ (centre to centre spacing of longitudinal engine mounts in metres x engine rpm)
Maximum Load = Static Load + Dynamic Load
