Vetus steel stern tubes are suitable for a water-lubricated propeller shaft assembly.
They are designed to be welded directly into the hull and are supplied with a cutless bearing already fitted. One or more welding sleeves can be ordered as an option, to reduce the possibility of the welding process distorting the tube.
Longer stern tubes can be supplied with one or two additional cutless bearings.
The inner bearing / shaft seal should be ordered separately, if required.
All steel stern tubes are manufactured to order and as such a lead time of 4-6 weeks applied. Please note that higher carriage costs may apply to stern tubes over 1500mm.
