Some thruster thrusters have a drive pin located behind the propeller, which can occasionally fracture if propeller becomes jammed by debris, protecting the gearbox from serious damage.
Drive pin for 23kgf thrusters
- TBC x 20.5mm
- part reference BP89
Drive pin for 25kgf thrusters
- 4.0mm x 31mm
- part reference BP1168
Drive pin for 35kgf and 55kgf thrusters
- 5.0mm x 45.5mm
- part reference BP1129
Drive pin for 45kgf, 50kgf and 80kgf thrusters
- 4.0 x 24.0mm
- this is only suitable for earlier models of the 50kgf and 80kgf bow thrusters, which have a 12mm diameter propeller shaft: this is identifiable by the red collets on the propeller.
- part reference BP381
Drive pin for 50kgf, 60kgf, 75kgf, 80kgf and 95kgf thrusters
- 5.0mm x 27.5mm
- this is only suitable for later models of the 50kgf and 80kgf bow thrusters, which have a 13.5mm diameter propeller shaft: this is identifiable by the blue collets on the propeller
