Vetus flexible engine mounts type LMX140, LMX210, LMX340 & LMX500 have been specifically designed to deal with the power to weight ratio of modern marine diesel engines.
LMX mounts are optimised for vibration damping, including at idling speeds. The mounts have a high fore-and-aft stiffness ratio which enables them to deal with high thrust.
These are generally suitable for engines from 95hp up to 480hp.
The stiffness ratio for these mounts is 1 athwartships / 7 fore-and-aft.

To calculate the maximum load for engine mounts, the following formula should be used:
Static Load: (Engine weight in kg ÷ number of supports)
Dynamic Load: (Engine horsepower x reduction of gearbox x 337) ÷ (centre to centre spacing of longitudinal engine mounts in metres x engine rpm)
Maximum Load = Static Load + Dynamic Load
